Ralph A. Welter

Mr. Ralph A. Welter, age 96, of Wallingford passed away on February 7, 2014. Formerly of New Haven, Cheshire & Meriden he was the husband for 73 years of Agnes M. Bruzevicius Welter. Born in New Haven on December 11, 1917 he was a son of the late Robert & Emma Dujardin Welter. Ralph is survived by Agnes and his sons, Richard A. Welter & his wife Bonnie of Punta Gorda, FL & Frye Island, ME and Ronald B. Welter & his wife Marilyn of Englewood, FL & Cheshire, CT; his grandchildren, Cynthia W. Given, Sandra Gagnon, Ronald B. Welter, Jr. & Lorraine Hoynack; 6 great-grandchildren; his sister Emma Badali of Utah; his sister in-law Eileen Welter of Hamden and many nieces & nephews. Ralph was predeceased by his granddaughters, Carolyn Welter & Virginia Welter Hoffman; his sisters Lillian Strickland & Dorothea 'Dolly' Edmonds and his brothers, Robert, John, Bruce and Daniel Welter. Ralph was a self employed home repairman, a Mason serving as a Past Master of the Adelphi Lodge #63 AF & AM and their Secretary for many years. Family members will gather at Beaverdale Memorial Park, Section H, Hamden on Thursday, Feb.13th at 12:00 Noon for his Graveside Service.
