Raul Maldonado-Marin, 62, of Meriden, husband of Carmen Maldonado, passed away on July 11, 2023 at Midstate Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico on July 13, 1960, a son of Antonio Maldonado and Candida Marin. He is survived by his children Victoria, Raul Jr., Anthony, Joshua, and Candida Maldonado; his brothers David and Willie Maldonado; his sisters Gladys, Maria “Wuicha,” Myrna, and Minerva Maldonado, nine grandchildren, a great-grandson, and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Friends are invited to visit with Raul’s family on Saturday, July 15, 2023 from 2:00-6:00 p.m. at Beecher & Bennett-Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden. Interment will be privately held at the convenience of his family.

Tony, Yanelli and the rest of the Maldonado family, I’m sorry to hear of Raul “Pops” passing. We worked together for a long time, and he taught me a lot. Raul always looked to help others and was no doubt a customer favorite. I’ll never forget his smile and laugh. Love you all
