Rayford A. “Pee Wee” Crosby passed away peacefully on July 30, 2021 at the Meriden Center. He was born in Baltimore, MD on September 1, 1940, son of the late Margaret White and James Crosby, Sr.  He attended schools in Baltimore and moved to Meriden to continue his education. Pee Wee joined the Marines in 1957 and was honorably discharged in 1962.  He was a kind and loving person, always willing to help others.  Pee Wee got enjoyment out of making crafts.

Pee Wee is survived by his daughters Alexandria Felton, Kelly Williams, and Alexandra “Muffy;” and grandchildren Thomas Naciadis, Arianna Nadwairski, and Nasharie Davis and Ovad Davis.  He also leaves to cherish his memory a sister Gwendolyn; niece Phyllis; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

“We loved him dearly, but God loved him best.  He cancelled our earthly plans to fulfill his heavenly plans.  He has entered into eternal rest.”

Relatives and friends are invited to a graveside ceremony with military honors celebrating Pee Wee’s life on Tuesday, August 10th at 12:00PM at the CT State Veteran’s Cemetery, Bow Lane, Middletown.  Beecher & Bennett-Flatow Funeral Home, Meriden, is in care of the arrangements.
