Raymond Clifford Pierson passed away June 6, 2006 at CT Hospice after a long illness, he was a resident of Baybrook Arms, West Haven and was lifelong West Haven resident. Born May 23, 1923 to Irene Catlin Pierson and Carl William Pierson, besides his parents he was predeceased by brothers, Frederick William Pierson and infant brother, Carl William Pierson, Jr. He was a contractor building homes mainly in Orange and Woodbridge. In later years he worked as an engineer for Kessler, Inc. Raymond was a well known sports figure, known for his love and skill at basketball, while serving in the Air Force in WW II with the 15th Air Force he represented his Co. playing basketball. Besides his wife, Genevieve of 60 years he leaves two daughters, Patricia Rosenberg and her husband, Ted of Durham, Maureen Porteses and her husband, Val of West Haven and six grandchildren. Funeral arrangements are private and under the direction of BEECHER & BENNETT TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME, 410 Campbell Ave., West Haven.
