Regina Crossley Nocera, 68, of Meriden, beloved wife of the late Ralph W. Nocera, peacefully passed away surrounded by her family on March 5, 2025 at Yale New Haven Hospital.

Regina is survived by her two sons Jason Kovach (Lorrie Quirk) and Matthew Nocera (Candice Cronin) both of Meriden, and her daughter Lauren Nocera (Lucas McPhee) of Southington; four loving grandchildren, Joshua Kovach, Christopher Kovach, Juliana Nocera, and Ethan Kovach, and two step-granddaughters Jocelyn Belomizi and Mariyah Williams. She also leaves her sister Diane Jerome and her husband Jack, her sister-in-law Carol Crossley, and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends of multiple generations to cherish her memory. Besides her husband, Regina was predeceased by her parents, Alvin “Bud” Crossley and Marilyn (Beierle) Crossley; her brother Gary E. Crossley; and sister-in-law Phyllis Luann Nocera.

Regina was born, raised, and lived her whole life in Meriden. She went to school and graduated from Orville H. Platt High School and held various administrative positions for the City of Meriden. Regina dedicated her professional life to serving her city with unwavering commitment and passion. Through her work, she built a family of friends and colleagues who admired and loved her dearly.

Outside of her professional achievements, Regina found joy in the simplest pleasures of life. Her love for bingo brought her countless evenings filled with fun and laughter. Her loyal Havanese, Sofia, was her constant companion, bringing warmth and happiness to her days. Regina was a lifelong fan of The Beatles and Mickey Mouse, both bringing out her fun-loving inner child. Some of her most cherished memories took place by the beach and camping with her friends and family. Regina was very committed to her family and found immense joy in cheering on her children and Coach Ralph at every sports game. Regina leaves behind a legacy of love, friendship, and dedication. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and the community she served so faithfully.

Friends and family are invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, March 12th from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Beecher & Bennett-Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Avenue, Meriden, CT. A celebration of Regina’s life will immediately follow at the funeral home. Interment will be held privately at the State Veterans Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, we kindly ask for donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital in her honor. Regina had a deep love for children and bravely battled cancer herself. Your contribution would honor her memory and support a cause close to her heart.
