Regina K. Aszklar
Regina K. Aszklar, 77, of Windham, passed away on April 27, 2019 at her home. Regina was the wife of Frank G. Aszklar, Jr. Born in Hartford on June 25, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Regina (Gancos) Kovalcik. Regina is also survived by her daughter Gina Aszklar Wroniak of Ellington; her brother Joseph Kovalick of Meriden; brother and sisters-in-law, and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her grandson Frank W. Wroniak in 2014, with whom she has surely reunited in a tight hug while their guard dog Jade watches close by. Regina was a resident of East Hartford for many years, then moved to Hebron, and had resided in Windham for the last 12 years. She was employed by the former Hartford National and People's banks, and retired from Farmington Savings Bank. Regina met her husband as a young woman racing snowmobiles. Together they shared their love and home to many of God's creatures, serving as a refuge to all animals. Friends may attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, May 1st at 10:00 a.m. at St. Christopher's Church, 538 Brewer St., East Hartford. Her interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery in East Hartford.
