Regina Marie London, age 81, of West Haven, passed away on September 3, 2015. Regina was the widow of Richard London, Jr. Born in New Haven on December 24, 1933, she was a daughter of the late William Williams Sr. & Anna Brown Williams. Regina is the mother of Karen Melendez-Harper (Paul) of West Haven, Richard London III (Kellie) of West Haven, Martin London of New Haven, Glenn London of Hawaii & the late Allen & Frederick London; sister of Allen Williams (Hazel) of New Haven & the late Narazette Adele Patterson (Charles) William, George, Frederick (Louise), Bruce & Wayne Williams. She also leaves 16 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, special nieces: Sherri Silva, Gail Patterson, Philomena Myer, Delinda Conte, Veronica Lacks & a host of other nieces, nephews & friends. She was dear friends with Mildred Hopkins & Lorraine Sizemore. Regina was a lifelong resident of West Haven. She was employed for 20 years by the State of CT as an Administrative Assistant before her retirement. She was the proud owner of her cherished dog Ben. Regina loved playing board games, watching classic movies, & going to the nail salon with her loving granddaughter Yolanda Melendez at her side. Regina was taught to play PlayStation by her beloved grandson, Richard London IV, & was an expert at Crash Bandicoot. Regina was a loving and devoted mother & grandmother. She enjoyed frequent visits with her grandson Glenn II & his family. She often expressed pride in her namesake, devoted granddaughter, Regina Marie Melendez-Nagarajan MD. She leaves behind many accomplished grandchildren including: an engineer (Collette), a corrections officer (Richard IV), a petty officer in the US Navy (Norman Jr.), a medical assistant (Karen Marie), & talented students (Alissa, Destinee & Kimana) to carry on her legacy. Her grandchildren were at her bedside during her illness (including Jazmin, Tamira, Scott, & Alexzander Joseph). Words cannot express how much she will be missed... Friends may visit with her family on Thursday Morning from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at BEECHER & BENNETT-TAYLOR Funeral Home, 410 Campbell Ave., West Haven and may attend her Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 AM in St. Paul's Church, 44 Alling St., West Haven. Interment will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery.

I know that my parents welcomed her with open arms, thats before allen of course. And everyone who left before her. I will always remember her and keep her in my heart. love cheri plano

You were always such a blessing to her through all her suffering! Yes, we miss her more than words can express, but we are comforted by the fact that her suffering is over and she is home with the Lord…Glory Be To God!!
