Richard J. Crego

Richard J. Crego, age 90, passed away at his home in Orange on Wednesday, February 4, 2015. He was the beloved husband of nearly 70 years to Lillian Simeone Crego. Born in New Haven on June 6, 1924, he was the son of the late Viola Crego. He is survived by his daughters, Susan Wagner and Kathleen Dellamarggio, both of Deerfield Beach, FL; his three grandchildren, Tracy Albanese, Elizabeth Teodosio, and Stephen Girasuolo, two great-grandchildren, Jesse Johnson and Christina Albanese, and his sister, Lucille Kortum. Richard was an Ironworker with Local #424 for over 30 years before retiring to Florida. He also honorably served in the US Navy during WWII. Funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM Wednesday evening, February 11, at BEECHER & BENNETT - TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME, 410 Campbell Ave., West Haven. Friends may visit with his family prior to the service, from 4:00-7:00 PM. Interment will be held in springtime.
