Richard L. Westfort

Richard L. Westfort, 85, of Meriden, loving husband of the late Carol (Biafore) Westfort, passed away peacefully at home, with his family by his side, on June 10, 2024. He was born in Meriden on April 12, 1939, a son of the late Louis and Lena (Tyler) Westfort. Richard is survived by his children, Deborah Timek and her husband Timothy, Richard Westfort, Jr. and his wife Billie-Jo, and Susan Ciastko and her husband Scott of Branford, his loving grandchildren, Stephanie Gradwell and her husband Jake, Katie Timek, and Christina, Erica, Alyssa, and Richard Westfort, III, and four great-grandsons, Anthony, Raymond, Andrew and Luke.  He was pre-deceased by his sisters, Lois Krober, Dorothy Labbe, and Joyce Burbidge. Richard was first and foremost a Dairy Farmer until 1985, then he and Carol opened up Westfort Farm and Greenhouses until their retirement, and he was the owner/operator of RLW Trucking for over 20 years.
