Robert 'Bob' Herman Yucker, 85, of Hamden passed away on March 31, 2013. Born in Derby on April 28, 1927 to the late Herman and Anna Dapkunes Yucker. Bob is survived by his wife of 52 years, Shirley Turkington Yucker; his son, Robert W. Yucker of Hamden; his daughter, Mary Ann Mott of Arizona and her husband Geoffrey. Bob grew up in Woodbridge and has lived in Hamden for over 50 years. He is a proud US Navy Veteran and worked as a contractor in Woodbridge for many years. Water skiing and snow skiing were two of Bob's favorite past times. When he no longer skied, he picked up golf and enjoyed that for many years. Over all, Bob enjoyed life and appreciated his family and friends. Friends may visit with Bob's family on Thursday morning, April 4th from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. at BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave, Hamden. His Funeral Service will take place at St. John's Episcopal Church, 3 Trumbull Place, North Haven at 11:00 a.m. followed by his burial in Centerville Cemetery.   2. Sorry to hear of Bob passing. He was fun to work with back in the 60’s when we were kids working summers at Suburban Construction. He taught me a great deal about putting quality into home building even where it would not be seen.
