Thompson, Jr., 67 of 129 Center St., West Haven, husband of Ann Hoffstadt Thompson, father of Shari (Kenneth) Long of Middlebury, CT, Lise (Kevin) Cavallaro of East Haven and Gary (Heidi) Thompson of North Haven, brother of William Thompson of North Haven, Jayne Allen of Durham and grandfather of Christian Thompson, Gina Cavallaro, Nicholas Cavallaro and Max Thompson. Bob was born in New Haven, Dec. 11, 1933 son of the late Robert F. & Dolly Lagos Thompson, Sr. and was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the US Navy. He graduated from Quinnipiac College with a BA in accounting and was credit manager at Rockbestos Co. for 21 years and also was an independent credit manager. He was an avid sportsman and former treasurer of Elm City Gun Club. Funeral service Tuesday, Aug. 28 at 10 a.m. at BEECHER & BENNETT TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME, 410 Campbell Ave. at Court St., West Haven. Friends may call Tuesday morning from 8 - 10 a.m. Interment in St. Lawrence Cemtery. A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, Sept. 1 at 10 a.m. at St. Lawrence Church, West Haven.
