Robert H. Runge, age 94, passed away on February 12, 2011 in Franklin, GA. Formerly of Meriden & Colchester CT, Robert was predeceased by his wife Esther Klaje French Runge. He is survived by his daughter, Cherilyn Plouffe and her husband Raymond Plouffe, Sr of Franklin , GA ; grandchildren, Raymond Plouffe, Jr. & his wife Michelle of Windsor Locks, CT and Ted Graham of Peachtree , GA ; 4 great grandchildren including Alicia Plouffe and several nieces & nephews. Robert was predeceased by his daughter Linda Sheehan; his sister Lillian Andrews and brothers Raymond and Henry Runge. Born in Meriden on February 22, 1916 he was a son of the late Henry & Martha Schee Runge. Robert was a self employed home builder and cabinet maker for many years in the Meriden area. Relatives and friends may visit with his family on Friday, Feb. 18, 2011 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at St. John's Lutheran Church , 520 Paddock Ave , Meriden . His Funeral Service will begin at 10:00 am in the church. Burial will take place in Walnut Grove Cemetery . Contributions in Robert's memory may be made to the Heard County Fire & Emergency Services - PO Box 490, 470 Old Field Rd, Franklin, GA 30217. Arrangements are in care of BEECHER & BENNETT – FLATOW FUNERAL HOME, 48 Cook Ave , Meriden .

Unfortunately since we are presently in Florida, we will be unable to attend his memorial service but we will be with you in our thoughts and prayers.

  2. Dear Cherilyn…Please accept my condolences in behalf of the Parker family on the death of your dad. My late mother Patricia Hopkins was the sister of Earl. Condolences extend to Sumner as well on the loss of his uncle, if you see him. We lost contact with Sumner years ago.
