Robert Kelly

Robert Kevin Kelly, 68, died Friday, September 21, 2007. He was born in Quincy, MA on February 14, 1939, a son of the late James D. and Anne M. Flynn Kelly, Sr. Mr. Kelly is survived by two brothers, John E. Kelly of Silver Springs, MD and James D. Kelly, Jr. of Bethany, one sister, Mary Jane Fritz of Clinton, three nieces and three nephews. Mr. Kelly's family moved from Massachusetts to Hamden in 1950 where he graduated from Hamden High School. He had worked as a conductor for Metro North Railroad for 25 years. Mr. Kelly was passionate about the welfare of animals. When he wasn't working, he enjoyed taking long bike rides and walks. Family and friends will miss his great sense of humor. Funeral from BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 WHITNEY AVE., HAMDEN, Monday, September 24, 2007 at 9:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Rita Church, Hamden at 10 a.m. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday from 4-8 p.m. Interment in All Saints Cemetery. I was saddened to hear about the death of Kevin. He and I became good friends while at Hamden High School. He was a great guy. Dick Dube – Class of 1959
