Robert Leeds Davison, 80, formerly of Cheshire, passed away on June 18, 2016 at his home in Atlanta, Georgia after a lengthy battle with cancer. Mr. Davison grew up in East Haven, where he graduated from East Haven High School, and then attended Rensselaer Polythechnic Institute. He worked as an engineer with Timex and later Allied Signal Corporation in Cheshire. Robert is survived by his wife Claudia Davison, children; Suzanne Jaffe and her husband Matthew of Atlanta, Kerry Davison and his wife Joli of Chiang Mai, Thailand, and Kenneth Davison and his wife Terri of Cheshire. Also survived by 4 grandsons, Andrew and Eric Davison, and Brandon and Alec Jaffe, and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, Marjorie F. and Albert R. Davison, and his sister Ann Jenkins. Robert was an avid Boston Red Sox fan, but above all else, he loved his family. Friends are invited to visit with Robert's family on Thursday June 23, 2016 from 5-7pm in the BEECHER & BENNETT FUNERAL HOME, 2300 Whitney Ave. Hamden. His funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Friday June 24 at 10am, Rev. Amanda Gott officiating. Interment to follow in Centerville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Robert L. Davison to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284 or via www.jimmyfund.org to support cancer research and patient care.
