Robert M. Sandillo
Robert M. Sandillo, age 75, of Hamden, passed away on July 24, 2018 at Gaylord Hospital in Wallingford. Born in New Haven on November 30, 1942, he was the son of the late Frank & Caroline J. (DeRusso) Sandillo. A resident of Hamden for most of his life, Robert was a graduate of Quinnipiac College. He went on to a career as an accountant, employed by the Armstrong Rubber Company. He is survived by aunts, uncles, and many beloved cousins. Robert was an avid New York Yankees baseball, UConn basketball, and Quinnipiac University sports fan. Relatives and friends may visit with his family on Thursday, July 26th from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at BEECHER & BENNETT FUNERAL HOME, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden. His Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 2819 Whitney Ave., Hamden. Robert's interment will then take place in All Saints Cemetery, North Haven. Should one desire, contributions in Robert's memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
