Robin Kokoszka Zenobi, 60, of Hamden, CT died unexpectedly in her sleep on March 21, 2024. She was born in Meriden, CT on September 20, 1963 to the late Frank and Mabel (Elfstrom) Kokoszka. Robin was a graduate of O.H. Platt High School in Meriden and attended Northeastern University in Boston and Central Connecticut State University in New Britain. For the past 20 years, she was employed as a pharmacy technician at Yale-New Haven Hospital.
She was an active member of Grace and St. John’s Church in Hamden, volunteering at their Friday night “Dinner for a Dollar” program, serving on their communications committee, and was clerk of the Church’s vestry.
Robin was a member of The International Order of Rainbow for Girls in her youth, and then went on to join the Order of the Amaranth and the Order of the Eastern Star, being an active member of these organizations for her entire adult life.
Robin is survived by her brother Peter Kokoszka, of Provincetown, MA and San Francisco, CA, many cousins from Connecticut and around the country, and her extended chosen family from Amaranth and Eastern Star, particularly her close friend Judy Behler, the Associate Grand Conductress of OES, for whom Robin served as escort.
Friends may visit with her family on Tuesday, March 26th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at BEECHER & BENNETT-FLATOW FUNERAL HOME, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden, with services from OES and Amaranth at 7:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 27th at Grace and St. John’s Episcopal Church, 2927 Dixwell Ave., Hamden. Burial will be private. Donations in Robin’s memory may be made to the Grace and St. John’s Dinner for a Dollar program at www.graceandstpeters.org, the Amaranth Diabetes Foundation at www.diabetes.org, or the Eastern Star Service Dog Project.
