Ronald D. Morris, 73, beloved husband of Jenifer A. Wilmot Morris of New Haven, CT passed away at his home on July 27, 2023. Born in Richmond, VA on December 27, 1949, he was the son of the late Gordon E. and Rosa Lee Chapelle Morris. Loving father of Michelle (Terrance) Burroughs of Hamden, CT, Nicole A. Morris of Washington, DC, Melissa R. Morris of Atlanta, GA, and Ronald D. Morris, Jr. of New Haven, CT, and grandfather of Saxton D. Brown of Atlanta, GA. He is also survived by his sister, Jacquelyn Massie of Richmond, VA, brother, Terrence Morris of New Haven, CT and his dear friend Hannible “Chippy” Julien. Ronald was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on April 11, 1973. He was a hardworking man, having worked for Armstrong Rubber Company, Greater New Haven Transit, and CT Limousine. After over 20 years of service at the New Haven Fire Department, he retired as a Firefighter. He then worked as a driver for Greater New Haven Transit for 19 years before retiring. To the Morris family. I greatly admired your dad and am deeply saddened to hear about his passing. Ron was a great coworker, bowling team player and tax client. He had a passion for his work and his family. We shared many great stories and laughter. May you all find strength and comfort in the days to come.
We are so sorry to hear of the loss of Brother Morris. Our prayers are with his family. May Jehovah be your Comforter during this sad and difficult time.

I walked a mile with Pleasure;
She chattered all the way.
But left me none the wiser For all she had to say.
I walked a mile with Sorrow And ne’er a word said she;
But oh, the things I learned from her When Sorrow walked with me!
