Peacefully at home, October 2, 2007, Rosalie Patchell, 77, of 820 Mix Avenue, Hamden, entered into eternal rest. She was the devoted wife of Kenneth M. Patchell with whom she shared her love for 57 Years. Rosalie, the daughter of the late Myrtle Euerle Knie and Robert Peckingham, was born in Hamden, CT on September 22, 1930 and has been a lifelong resident. She was retired from Nationwide Insurance. She was a trustee of the Hamden Emblem Club #396, a member of the Arbeiter Maenner Chor, a Chaplin at the Ladies Auxiliary Hamden Post 88, and a member of the "Girl's Card Club" for 20 years. She is the beloved mother of Karen Burch of East Haven, Kenneth Patchell and his wife, Sharen of Kempner, TX and Kevin Patchell of Wallingford. She is the cherished grandmother of Brian Patchell and wife Anna, Jaimie Patchell, Jessica Vitale and husband Burt, Robert Marone, Heather Cameron, Stephen Patchell, Jason Burch and his fiancee Vicki, Michelle Patchell, and Melissa Burch. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Ryan Vitale, Christian Perez, Jaiden Garcia, and Nicholas and Lindsey Patchell, for whom she left infinite memories of fun and love. She will be greatly missed by her family and many close friends. A Funeral Service and celebration of Rosalie's life will be held at BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden on Saturday, October 6, 2007. at 9:30 A.M. Burial will follow in Hamden Plains Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home with the family on Friday evening from 4 to 7 p.m. Memorial contributions in her name may be sent to CT Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford, CT. 06405.

I had the pleasure of knowing and spending time with Rosalie on several occassions, and my sincerest symphathy, thoughts and prayers are with Rosalie’s beloved Husband and Family.
