Rosella M. Trutnau
Rosella M. Trutnau, age 84, of Hamden, passed away on Feb. 5, 2015. Rosella was born in Lebanon, Oregon on Feb. 24, 1930; the daughter of the late Robert & Bertha Zurcher Richards. She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Theodore H. Trutnau, Sr; her daughter Carolyn & her husband Earle Douglas of Wallingford; her son Ted H. Trutnau, Jr & his wife Dolores of Wallingford; grandchildren, Christine Trutnau, Aubrey (Christopher) Hardy, Kevin (Courtney) Trutnau, Jeffrey (Leila) Douglas and Michael D'Amico and 2 great grandsons. Rosella was a resident of North Haven for many years before moving to Naples, FL for 13 years and her recent 3 years in Hamden. She was a former waitress at Howard Johnson's, then Town House Restaurant in Hamden. Rosella was a member of the Order of Eastern Star Alice Chapter in CT and the Red Hat Society in Naples, FL. She much enjoyed her many hobbies including baking, stitchery and gardening. Friends are invited to attend her Funeral Service on Wednesday, Feb. 11th at 6:00 PM in Beecher & Bennett Funeral Home, 2300 Whitney Ave, Hamden and may also visit with her family at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM prior to her service. Interment will be private.
