Meriden - Rosemary Bennett, 76, beloved wife of 57 years of Richard M. Bennett died after a brave battle with cancer on Thursday, October 15, 2009 at the Village at Kensington Place. She was born April 13, 1933 in Meriden a daughter of the late Dominic and Mary Cirillo, and graduated from Meriden High School. Rosemary worked for more than 25 years for SNET before retiring but stayed active with the Telephone Pioneers. She was a life long Meriden resident until she and her husband retired to Ft. Myers, Florida for 16 years. While there she was an active member at McGregor Baptist Church in Ft. Myers and involved extensively with volunteering in the church and community. Besides her husband Richard she is survived by three daughters, Karen Zealor of Wallingford, Tammy Borchert of Meriden and Tracy and her husband Fred Andrulat of Wallingford, six grandchildren, Ricky, Christopher, Zachary, Christina, Alec and Rachel, three sisiters, Lillian Ianuzzi of Meriden, Bettyjane and her husband Edward Asplund of Meriden, and Ceil Cirillo of Santa Cruz, CA, and two brothers, Paul Cirillo of Meriden and Frank Cirillo and his wife Elizabeth of Rocky Hill. She was predeceased by a brother John Cirillo. A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 19, at 10:00am at the First Baptist Church of Wallingford. The Rev. Bruce Sandy will officiate. Relatives and friends may call at the Beecher & Bennett-Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden on Sunday, October 18 from 4-7pm. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers contributions in Rosemary's memory may be made to First Baptist Church Scholarship Fund 114 North Main St., Wallingford, Ct 06492 for a scholarship to be established in her honor.

  25. We were saddened to learn of Rosemary’s passing. Dick and Rosemary were good neighbors in our condo and very well liked by everyone. Their volunteer work with the Baptist church was noted when they made their daily early morning trek to the Church. We will miss them at Golfview.

  29. Iam so sorry to hear about Rosemary’ passing. My heart goes out to all the family. She was a beautiful lady and so much fun on the Golfview golf course. We were pared up many times on the ladies league. I will surly miss her smile and the good times we had. Love and God Bless, Shirley
