Russell Berg Hintz

russell hintz
Russell Berg Hintz, 74, of Branford, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 14, 2018. Born in New Haven on August 23, 1944 to the late Russell & Ebba Berg Hintz. Russell is survived by Susan Nedovich Hintz; their sons Eric & Adam, daughters-in-law, Kimbro & Naomi; grandchildren, Luke, Trevor, Whitney, Annabel, Sydney, Samantha & Austin Hintz; and sisters, Nancy Moore and Linda Gancarz. Russell grew up in Hamden before moving to Milford, where he and his wife raised their family. Most recently Branford had been home. He had been on the Board of Managers for the Laurel Beach Association in Milford, the Board of CT Visiting Nurses Association, and was a member of the American Society of CPAs and CT Society of CPAs. He had great memories of playing on the Hamden High and UCONN Hockey teams, where he led both teams not just with skill and scoring records, but also as captain. When Russell wasn't coaching his sons' baseball and hockey teams, he enjoyed fishing and golf. Above everything else, family was the most important thing to Russell. Family traditions were very special to him and passing those traditions down to future generations was his main focus. He will be missed by all who knew him. Services will be private. Care has been entrusted to BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave, Hamden. Contributions in Russell's memory may be sent to the YNHH Transplant Patient Care Fund, Office of Development, P.O. Box 1849, 20 York St., New Haven, CT 06508.
