Ruth was a wonderful Grandma and Oma. She will be missed. Kevin, Meredith, & Emerson
We have so many wonderful memories of family times we spent together that we will treasure forever. My family and I always looked forward to seeing Ruth and her family and loved listening to her share the stories about the history of the family. Ruth’s quick and witty remarks always made us smile. She is truly loved by all that knew her. We will miss her until we meet again.
Ruth is a tremendous loss to all of us.She was loved and loved all of us.One of our dearest and loved friends. She is ever in our hearts.David and Laurie we are so sorry for your loss. Aunt Lee and Uncle Bruce.
We were blessed to meet Hal and Ruth when our daughter, Meredith, began dating their grandson, Kevin. Following Hal’s passing, we saw Ruth on so many special Vigneault family occasions–she was a very special lady who will be missed very much. Our condolences to the entire family.
Our hearts go out to David and the whole Withnell Family. Ruth was an amazing woman, great baker (many a waistline can attest to that!), and always so kind and interested in whatever was going on in our lives. Much loved and missed.

We will miss our Grandma/Oma very much. She loved all of us and we have many wonderful memories of our time spent together. I feel incredibly lucky that I had 35 years with my gram. Lots of love, Marissa, Bill, and Harper

David, Laurie and families, We’re so sad to learn of Aunt Ruth’s passing – I just heard about it from Auntie Lee recently. Our deepest condolences for your loss. I fondly remember so many things over the years; we’d visit Ruth and Hal at Lake Pocotopaug in the summers, and in Hamden at other times of the year; all of us getting together so long ago at Fred & Johanna’s house for the holidays, and most of the men and boys wearing red vests on Christmas – Hoefers, Baumgartners, Withnells, Allens, Northrops, and other whose names I can’t remember right now. And, of course, the times I can’t remember, being too young, when Elsie was still alive, and of course Mom and Elsie go way back with the Withnells and Baumgartners, especially since the Baumgartners were also some of Mom’s Godparents . . . It’s been a while since Mom and I last visited Ruth, but it was always great to see her. She’s frequently in my thoughts and prayers. Love to all, Debi & Hildy
