Ruth Carlson Sunblade

In New Haven, April 14, 2001. Ruth Carlson Sunblade 92, of 75 Washington Ave., Hamden. Wife of the late John E. Sunblade. Born in New Haven on March 28, 1909, she was the daughter of the late Idoff and Annie Carlson. Mrs. Sunblade retired in 1972 after 42 years, as a Library Catologer, from the Stirling Library, Yale University. A life long member of the Bethesda Lutheran Church, she had taught Sunday School for over 50 years. She is survived by a sister, Anne C, Ahlberg and a brother, Carl R. Carlson, both of Hamden. A stepson, William E. Sunblade and his wife Laura of North Madison and a step-grandson, Jeff Sunblade and step-granddaughter, Judy Sunblade. A Memorial Service will be held at Bethesda Lutheran Church, Thursday, April 19, at 11 A.M. Interment in East Lawn Cemetery was private.
