Wallingford- Ruth ''Olive'' Aylwin, 95, wife of the late George E. Aylwin, passed away Wednesday December 13, in the Masonic Geriatric Healthcare Center. She was born in New Haven September 30, 1905 a daughter of the late Frederick W. and Jeannette MacFarland Wetmore and had lived in Hamden until moving to Wallingford in 1962. Mrs. Aylwin attended the Yalesville United Methodist Church, and was a member of the Women's Group, she volunteered at the Masonic Geriatric Health Care Center for 12 years. She was Past Matron of Alice Chapter #76 O.E.S. of Hamden, and a member of Rebecca Lodge of New Haven. She is survived by two daughters; Evelyn Nollman of South Windsor, CT, Lois Crowther of Wallingford, and a son Donald Aylwin of Clinton, 6 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister Frances Reardon, and 2 brothers Nelson and Burton Wetmore. Funeral service will be held Monday morning December 18, at 11 AM at BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave Hamden. Friends may call prior to the service from 10 to 11 AM. Burial in Hamden Plains Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent to the Masonic Charity Foundation, P.O. Box 70 Wallingford, CT 06492 or to the Yalesville United Methodist Church, 8 New Place St., Wallingford, CT 06492.
