Born in Brookline, MA, September 3,1904, daughter of the late John D. and Cassie Cash MacVarish. She was a medical records librarian for New Haven Hospital for many years. Survived by a dear friend Florence Crosby of Hamden and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers, Joseph A. MacVarish, Albion F.''Mike'' MacVarish, John D. ''Duke'' MacVarish, Emery F. ''Early'' MacVarish, Leo B. MacVarish and sisters, Georgiena LaPlante, Dorothy R. Toledo, Hazel C. Movido, Clara MacVarish,Catherine R. ''Ruthie'' Markol and Esther V. ''Vi'' Canonizida. Graveside service Thurs., Feb. 28 at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph's Cemetery, West Roxbury, MA. Arrangements with BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden.
Aunt Sally was very special to me. I remember her coming to Easton, MA every summer to visit. She taught me all I know about playing Solitaire. As a child I couldn\’t wait until she came to visit because she always brought me little trinkets, toys, and games. I loved her dearly and will miss her.
