  9. Mr. Fitzsimons, Tricia, Bernie, Tommy, Judy, & Danny, I was extremely sorry to hear about Shirley’s passing, and send my warmest regards during these difficult days. Whenever I’ve thought about her & think of her now, I SMILE. I smile because she was a terrific lady, was always very kind to me, and was a person whom I admired. Although I hadn’t seen her in almost 25 years, I remember and will always remember her half-grin, half-smile, her quick wit, and her readiness to laugh. It seemed that whenever I was in Spring Glen, I’d see her either walking to or walking from the store. I remember how Shirley and my mom, Jane, were in similar situations: wonderful husbands, five darling children who always behaved, the non-stop work, the cigs., & tan raincoats. Again, I send my warmest regards.

  10. My most sincere sympathy is sent your way at this very difficult time. Mrs. Fitz was the sweetest most gentle woman I’ve had the pleasure of knowing. I know how very proud you all were of her. You had an exceptional Mom and wife, and this world is better for having had her in it. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Cheryl
