Shirley A. (Rafuse) Grant, age 75, of Hamden, CT, formerly of Norwood & Walpole, MA, passed away peacefully on June 19, 2010. Shirley is the widow of Walter L. Grant. Born in Walpole, MA on Feb. 11, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Vernon & Frances Taylor Rafuse. Shirley is the mother of Gary L. Grant of Hamden, Kenneth N. & his wife Susan Grant of Hamden, Ronald L. Grant, Sr of Wallingford and the late Jeffrey A. Grant; grandmother of Stephanie and Lauren Grant of Hamden and Lindsey & Ronald Grant, Jr of Wallingford; sister of Phyllis Dolan of Whiting, NJ, Gloria Dramis of Westwood, MA, Sally Russell of Canton, MA, Brenda Zonfrillo of Norwood, MA, Robert Rafuse of North Attleboro, MA and the late Maxine Weldon of Dedham, MA, Helen Puopolo of Walpole, MA and Betty-Lou Pelletier of Norwood, MA; sister-in-law of Marsha Dawn (Jim) Spencer of Fort Worth, TX and aunt of David Spencer of Dallas, TX. Funeral from BEECHER & BENNETT FUNERAL HOME, 2300 Whitney Ave. Hamden on Wednesday at 9:15 AM followed by her Service in Christ Lutheran Church, 600 Shepard Ave, Hamden at 10:00 AM. Friends may also visit with her family at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4 to 8 PM. Interment will take place in Centerville Cemetery.
