MERIDEN - Shirley L. Priebe, 79, of 102 Baker Ave., South Meriden, died Thursday, April 1, 2004, at MidState Medical Center. She was the wife of Howard W. Priebe. Born in Meriden on Nov. 23, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Ida Lockert Hubball. She was a graduate of Meriden High School and had been employed at the Valley National Corporation. Besides her husband, she is survived by five daughters, Gayle Priebe, Marlene Bevacqua and her husband, Jim, Lynn Trombley and her husband, Richard and Karen Mingrino, all of Meriden, and Wendy Silverman and her husband, Richard of Middletown; two sons, Howard D. Priebe and William Priebe and his wife, Patty, all of Meriden; a brother, Edward Hubball of Old Lyme and eleven grandchildren, Amanda Trombley, Paul Mingrino, Danny Mingrino, Erica Priebe, Jeff Priebe, Ali Priebe, Zak Priebe, Nick Priebe, Olivia Silverman, Emma Silverman and Garrett Silverman. She was predeceased by two brothers, Fred Hubball and Herbert Hubball. Shirley was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother who will be deeply missed by everyone. Funeral service will be private. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are under the direction of the Beecher and Bennett Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden.
