Shirley Massicott

Shirley Massicott, 79, wife of the late Robert B. Massicott, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at MidState Medical Center. She was born March 8, 1936 in Middletown, a daughter of the late Raymond and Martha (Skinner) Burr. Shirley was a parishioner of Yalesville United Methodist Church as well as an avid UCONN Husky fan. Shirley is survived by three sons and their wives; Robert R. & Debra Massicott, Roy & Susan Massicott, all of Meriden and Ricky & Susan M. Massicott of Higganum, eight grandchildren; Shawn, Allan, Robert, Karissa, Paul, Adam, Sarah and Jordan Massicott, two great-grandchildren, and a brother, Edward Burr, of Cromwell. She was predeceased by two brothers, Albert and Leonard Burr. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at 10:00 am. at Beecher & Bennett-Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden. The Rev. Anne Bracket will officiate. Burial will follow at Fountain Hill Cemetery in Deep River, CT.
