WALLINGFORD- Sonia Kowaleski Bedford, 95, of 22 Masonic Avenue died Tuesday April 27, 2004 at the Masonic Geriatric Healthcare Center in Wallingford. She was the wife of the late Edward D. Bedford. She was born in Middletown, CT, February 8, 1909, the daughter of the late Joseph and Jeanette Ziolkowski Kowaleski. She had been employed as a nurses aide at Connecticut Valley Hospital. She was member of the the First Congregational Church and Circle Two of the church, the Meriden Grange, the Salvation Army, the Civilian Defense Corps and the Meriden Women's Club. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Jeanette and Gardner Bush of Boca Raton, FL; a stepdaughter, Nathalie Sunday of Meriden; a sister, Winifred Mott of New Haven; a brother, Daniel Kowaleski of Stamford; two grandchildren, Diane Bush Levine of Boca Raton and Jeanette A. Bush of Cheshire; three great grandchildren, Deidre Dolan Rudy , David E. Dolan and Cheryl Egan, all of Boca Raton; two great-great-grandchildren, Skye Diane Rudy and Marianna Dolan, both of Boca Raton; and a step-grandson. She was predeceased by a sister, Stephanie Lewandowski and a brother, Thaddeus Kowaleski. A funeral service will be held Thursday, April 29, 2004 at 1 p.m. in the Chapel at the Masonic Home, 22 Masonic Ave., Wallingford. Rev. Anne Baltzell will officiate. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Meriden. Arrangements are under the direction of the Beecher & Bennett Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden.
