  1. As the song goes-.If there’s a rock & roll heaven.– there is now another fabulous talent with the eternal band. Sonja left her mark on so many lives in such a short time. We consider it an honor to have shared her music. With our sincere sympathy to the family–

  2. I am deeply saddened by her passing. Sonja was smart, quirky and down to earth. I consider myself a lucky person to have known her. Despite the difference in our ages we often joked about the same things. I will miss her very much.

  5. I am shocked and saddened by the news of the loss of Sonja. I was fortunate enough to have performed with her and will always remember her as a vibrant and talented musician who got people dancing.

  6. I am so very sad to hear about Sonja. She was always so nice to talk to. I used to look at her screensaver pictures and she helped me to put some of them as my own screen savers. Every day when I come to work it is to look at such beautiful and peaceful pictures. They were of flowers, sculptures, water with lots of greenery and I am so glad I have this to remember her with every day. Kate Leduc

  7. I was deeply saddened to read of Sonja’s passing. My memories of her are as an artistically and academically gifted middle school student eager to learn. Her most admirable virtues however, were her compassion, helpfulness, optimism and kindly smile. Accept my condolences and sympathy on your loss. Mr.D teacher ,Sterling 1971-2008

  8. I was sad to hear of Sonja’s passsing! She was always quick with a joke or a great one to give you that infectious laugh for one of your own! She will be very much missed by everyone. My thoughts and prayers go out to family, friends, and anyone who’s life she has touched.

  9. I was truly shocked and taken back by the sudden loss of our friend Sonja. I had the pleasure of working with her at Canberra. She was always willing to assist and we worked well in preparing quotes and sharing stories.

  10. I was very saddened and shocked to hear about Sonja’s passing. She was a very lively and talented person. My thoughts & prayers go out to her family.

  11. My heart is soooo broken. Although we were a generation apart her ability to see a lot of the quirky humor in things at the same moment I did was so much fun. I will try to find some comfort in the fact that as an organ donor she will help so many others with different medical problems than the asthma that plagued her. I know her Mom now has someone very special as her guardian angel.

  12. Our hearts go out to the family during this difficult time. The world will miss such a talented musician. Sonja will live on in our hearts and we are blessed to have known her. We loved her and will miss her until we meet again. Rock on.

  13. Sonja was a good friend with a kind heart and so much talent. Through the years that I knew her, she never stopped impressing me. To have known her was a gift, and I will carry it with me for as long as I live.

  14. There are no words that can express a loss like this. Sonja has been a part of my life since she was 14 year old. I just can’t imagine a world with out her her beautiful smile, her quit wit and musical abilities. She touched so many lives with her music, but she still had so much more to do and so many more lives to touch! It’s just not fair that she is gone. I will be forever grateful for the memories my family and I have. We are lucky and honored to have been able to spend time with Sonja. She was always there when we needed her and I hope she felt that we were there for her, too. Some how, I know that Sonja is up there, rockin’ out with her Dad and looking out for us, all the rest of our days. I love you, kid…… forever and ever. Robin

  15. This is a shockingly sad news. Sonja’s a wonderful person, a true friend and a talented musician. I’ll almost remember the good times we spent together. It feels like yesterday that we went Karaoke and laughed so hard. I’ll always guard the music CD she gave me that contains her beautiful voice. A talented star has fallen from the sky, but the beauty stays in all our hearts forever.

  16. we enjoied sonja’s talent and great company playing in unusual suspects.we will always remember her.

  17. You will be missed. Suddenly you were gone from all the lives you left your mark upon. (Neil Pert)

  18. When I heard today of your daughter’s passing last month from a man selling flowers in Hope Valley, my heart sank to think such a tragedy happened to someone I knew in the Postal Service who gave so much to so many. I am so sorry for the loss of your lovely daughter, Sonja. May the music she leaves in the souls of the survivors, which only could have arisen through the loving support you gave her, become for you and those who knew her the Spirit that will guide you through this deep sorrow, comfort you, and lift you enough to carry on. Kathy, may God bless you with everything you need in this most difficult time. This I pray, in Jesus’ name, on Holy Good Friday, 2009.

  19. My Sweet Child. My entire exsistance is of you and until we are together again, I will ache without you and remember everything about you ! I Love You so very much and will never stop remembering as if you were still here. Love,Mom

  20. I can only imagine she sings and plays most beautiful of all the angels. You were taken too soon, child. May your light shine on.
