Soon Heung Kwon
Mr. Soon Heung Kwon, 85, husband of the late Wol S. Kwon, passed away January 13, 2018 in the St. Raphael Campus of Yale-New Haven Hospital after a brief illness. Mr. Kwon was born in Young Dong, South Korea February 5, 1932; a son of the late Daejin Kwon and Bokrae Choi Kwon, and had resided in North Haven. Father of Young S. Kwon and his wife Jang Kwon of Southington, CT, Jaime Reed of Honolulu, Hawaii, Mi Ledbetter and her husband Timothy Ledbetter of New London, CT, and Yong C. Kwon and his wife Youngmi Kwon of Orange, CT. Brother of Soonhyun Kwon and Soonjoo Kwon. Grandfather of Shawn Reed, Jessica Reed, Guho Kwon, Soyoung Kwon, Tim Ledbetter, Jr. Jason Kwon and Jonathan Kwon. Great-grandfather of Knix Tanibe. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with his family on Friday January 19, from 6-8 pm at the Beecher and Bennett Funeral Home, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden and may attend his funeral on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 10 am in the New Haven Korean Church, 42 Glen Parkway Hamden. Interment will be in Centerville Cemetery.
