Stanley Mazan, 88, of North Haven, passed away on March 21, 2013 at Yale New Haven Hospital. Born on March 19, 1925 to the late Frank and Helen Tokarz Mazan. Stan is survived by his brother, Raymond Mazan of North Haven and two nieces, Pamela Mazan Payson of Warner, NH and Melissa Mazan Deveney of North Grafton, MA. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his four brothers, Paul, Richard, Lucian and Frederick Mazan and three sisters, Patricia, Wanda, and Constance Mazan. Stan grew up in New Haven and lived most recently in North Haven. He worked in Norwalk for many years at Norden-Ketay before furthering his education to become a guidance counselor. He went on to work in the New Haven School System. Stan was also a professional musician and played in the Eddie Whittstein Society Band. When not working, he loved being outside. Whether he was fishing, attending to one of his gardens or feeding the birds, Stan was probably the happiest when outdoors. Private Services in care of BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave, Hamden.
