Stavroula Proestakis
Stavroula Proestakis, 90, formerly of Green St., New Haven, wife of the late George P. Proestakis, passed away Friday, May 19, 2006. She was born in Vresthena, Greece, daughter of the late Panagiotis and Chrisanthe Maimoinis Rozanitis and immigrated to the United States in 1954. She is survived by her two sons, Peter G. Proestakis of North Haven and Constantine G. Proestakis of Clinton, 4 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers, Athanasios Rozanitis and Dimitrios Rozanitis both of Greece. Mrs. Proestakis was predeceased by brothers, Constantine and George Rozanitis. Funeral service will be held Friday May 26, 2006 at 10 a.m. at St. Barbara Greek Orthodox Church, 480 Racebrook Rd., Orange. Friends may call Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden. Interment in Beaverdale Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Barbara Greek Orthodox Church Building Fund.
