SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY – Suzanne Erich McMullan, 75, passed away on Saturday, December 19 in Saratoga Springs, New York due to COVID-19.
Born April 16, 1945 to Bert & Lois Johnson Erich, Suzanne was raised in and around New Haven, Connecticut, later spending most of her adult life in the New York Capital Region, besides a few years in Englewood, Florida. She and her siblings, Pam and Randy, grew up by Long Island Sound, where she developed a lifelong love of swimming, the ocean, and seabirds.
A devout Christian, she enjoyed singing, especially hymns. She worked for many years in both child and elderly care, and cared for her father in his last years. “Susie” was most happy with her immediate and extended family at her family’s cottage in Mansfield Grove, East Haven, Connecticut, where she enjoyed relaxing at the beach or in the grove, laughing and joking with her family and friends.
She was pre-deceased by her brother Randy Erich of East Haven, CT and she leaves behind her sister Pam Johnson of Englewood, Florida; her three sons: Sean F. (Alice) McMullan of Halfmoon, Kirk W. McMullan of Charleston, SC and Matthew G. Interis (Alba Collart) of Starkville, MS; four granddaughters Sarah, Kaelyn, Emily, and Lillian; and an aunt June Brown, several cousins, nieces, nephews, and a large extended family. The McMullan family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Wesley Health on the floors of 2 Victoria and 3 Springs for their patience and care.
