Theresa St. Rose, 87, of Baltimore, MD, departed her life on Monday, November 14, 2016, at Arden House Nursing Home in Hamden CT. Theresa St. Rose was born in Todds Road, Chaguanas of Trinidad and Tobago on September 28, 1929. Theresa attended Todds Road High School. After high school, Theresa took typing and shorthand classes to enhance herself for the future. After graduating from typing school, she started a kindergarten school for children. After teaching for a couple of years, she worked with an insurance company, then migrated to Baltimore, MD where she continued to enhance her education and build on her career. Theresa was heavily involved with the Steelband Association in Trinidad and Tobago. Theresa worked as a medical transcriptionist for Harbor Hospital in Baltimore, MD for 30 years. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, sewing, and making children smile. She was also actively involved in the Catholic Church in Baltimore, MD, where she taught Sunday school. Theresa was the daughter of Samuel and Seraphine St. Rose (deceased), sister of Nicholas and Agatha St. Rose (dec.) and grandmother of Dwayne St. Rose (dec). She is survived by her son, Desmond St. Rose, daughter-in-law-Elizabeth St. Rose, Granddaughter-Sekeya Williams, Cousins–Conrad and Anthony Jordon, Godson-Bertrand Francis, four nieces-Judy et al, 6 nephews, Goddaughter Annie Deonorine, three great-grandchildren, other family and friends-Madge Wilson and Alma Cooper. The funeral service will be held at BEECHER & BENNETT FUNERAL HOME, 410 Campbell Ave, West Haven, CT. Father Mark Jette of St. Lawrence Catholic Church will be officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to St. Lawrence Church. The family of Theresa St. Rose wishes to thank each and every one for your support.
