Thomas Joseph Sincavage, 88 a resident of East Haven since 1967, passed away on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 in Hamden. Husband of the late Angeline Gianfriddo Sincavage, he is survived by a son, Thomas Sincavage, Jr and his wife Anna of Woodbridge; 3 grandchildren, Michael and his wife Louise Sincavage, Yvette Sincavage, and Marc and his wife Minola Sincavage all of Hamden; 2 great-grandchildren, Massimo and Rocco Sincavage; a brother, Joseph Sincavage and his wife Martha of West Haven and sisters Victoria Talarczyk of West Haven, Helen Soltys and her husband Steven of North Haven and Mary Hamon of West Haven. In additon to his wife, he was predeceased by a brother, Stanley Sincavage. Thomas was born in New Haven on December 18, 1923, a son of the late George and Rose Torba Ksiazkiewicz. He served his country as a Corporal in the U.S. Army during World War II stationed in the Asiatic PacificTheater and then had been a tool and die maker at Sargent. His love was owning a community store, Tom's Market in Davenport Ave in New Haven and in West Haven, where his patrons knew him as Tim. He was a butcher until retirement. His retirement was dedicated to expressing his love for his wife by visiting her grave each day. Funeral from BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave, Hamden Friday, November 16, 2012 at 10:30 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Pompeii, Foxon Rd, East Haven at 11 am. Friends may visit with his family Friday morning from 9 - 10:30 at the funeral home. Interment with Military Honors in All Saints Cemetery. Memorial Contributions in his memory may be made to Friends of Fisher House CT , c/o The Creed Law Firm, LLC, PO Box 575, Bristol, CT 06010.
