  1. Dear Lauren and family, I was very sorry to hear about the passing of Val. I worked with Val for many years. She was a very special lady. She always brought joy to the office. She is in my prayers. Linda Limauro

  2. Dear Lauren, I love that picture of your mom. I know it was from your wedding. She was so happy for you! I don’t think she realized how beautiful she was. I will miss your mom, her smile, her laugh, her wonderful personality. She was a good friend.

  3. Dear Lauren, I worked with your mom in the Registrar’s Office here at Yale. I loved your mom, she was such a good and caring person. She was so proud of you and your accomplishments. We both loved to garden and she taught me so much. Her picture in this obituary is so fitting with all the green trees in the backround. She also had a wonderful sense of humor, we would just laugh all the time. My memories of your mom are very fond and I will always remember Val for her kindness and compassion. I will pray for you and your family. God Bless, Karen C. Ramos

  4. Dear Sheryl and Lauren & families, Val was a wonderful person. Her love extended far. She taught me a lot about taking care of plants, and appreciating pets. She told us about her many adventures with her cats, birds, and fish with her sense of humor, always endearing us to her. I will always be glad that she taught me how to color my hair, too! I will always remember Val because she’s become a special part of me. Her wisdom and caring live on.

  5. Lauren, I am very sorry to hear of your mom’s passing. I’ve thought of you often over the years and wondered what ever happened to you. Please know that you are in my prayers and I hope that in the future you can find some time to shoot me a quick email. I remember you in math class with great fondness. Sincerely, Ken Mathews
