Somers- Victor "Papo" Cubano, 67 formerly of Meriden passed away on Friday, March 9, 2007. He was born April 12, 1939 in Santurce, Puerto Rico a son of the late Martin Cubano and Filomena Medina. He was an auto mechanic and worked for various local automotive businesses. He also proudly served his country in the United States Army. Papo is survived by his four daughters, Lucy, Jenny, Maria and Debora, a son, Eddie; two very special grand nieces, Jenny O and Madeline; a brother, Raul "Pipo; three sisters, Jennie, Yadira and Maria "Cuca"; twenty grandchildren; and his family at Osborn Correctional Facility. He was predeceased by two brothers, Jose "Joche" and Hector "Junior". He was a great father, a great friend. He always had great advice and a joke to cheer you up. He loved his family dearly and had a big heart full of love to share. He will truly be missed by both families. Relatives and friends may call at the Beecher & Bennett- Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden on Tuesday (TODAY) from 10am -12 noon. A service will be held at 12:00noon followed by burial in Connecticut Veteran's Cemetery in Middletown.
