Vincent Lau Pina, 75, of Orange, passed away Sat., Jan. 22, 2011 at CT Hospice, Branford. He was born in New Haven on July 1, 1935 to the late Albert and Elizabeth Guimares Pina. He was employed by the former Simkins Company of New Haven in the Carton Division for many years, prior to his retirement in 2005. He is survived by his step-daughter, Rolan Joni Young, Esq. of Orange, brothers, Albert Joseph Pina and Donald Augustine, his aunt, Louise Giles, all of New Haven and a host of nieces and nephews and two loving special cousins, Carol Hopwood Curtis of West Haven and Cynthia Teixeira of New Haven. Vincent is also survived by his dear and loving companion of 22 years, Barbara Young. Funeral service at BEECHER & BENNETT-TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME, 410 Campbell Ave., West Haven. Due to inclement weather funeral will be postponed from Thursday to Friday at 11 a.m. with visiting from 9 to 11 a.m.. Interment will be in St Lawrence Cemetery, West Haven.

Dear Barbara,so sorry for your loss,my dad JOSEPH KASYNAK worked with vinny at SIMKINS. vinny was a great guy to my dad ,always with a call to him asking how he was and many times came to vist him in the hospital. a true friend who never judged him but was there for him ! we know how much you will miss him like we so miss my dad. they will be together to have a few good laughs once again!!!
