In Meriden, October 28, 2001. Viola Temple Ross-Lewin Fletcher of 3201 Ashlar Village, Wallingford. Wife of the late Robert W. Fletcher. Born in Chicago. Ill., on May 25, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Harry F. and Viola Stranahan Ross-Lewin. A graduate of the University of California, at Berkley, she was a member of the Delta Gama Sorority. Mrs. Fletcher was a member of the Cheshire Women's Club, The League of Women Voters, the Quinnipiac River Bound Farm and the Quinnipiac Audubon Society. She is survived by two daughters; Alice F. Rixmann of Bella Vista, Ar. and Elizabeth F. Matera of Wellesley, Ma. Grandmother of David F. and Robert C. Matera, Step Grandmother of Melissa Waters and Staff Sgt. Scott Rixmann, U.S. M.C. She was predeceased by a son Robert T. Fletcher. A Memorial service will be held in the Activity Room of Ashlar Village, Wallingford, on Friday, November 2, at 1:30 P.M.
