MERIDEN - Virginia Doris Campbell Richardson, 83, died Thursday, March 23, 2006 at MidState Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Carroll Richardson. Born in Rotterdam Junction, New York on March 26, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Leola Campbell. She had been employed as an office clerk at United Health Care. She had been a member of the former Grace Baptist Church. She is survived by four daughters and their spouses, Lee Catrona of Meriden, Carolyn and Howard Bower of Brownsville, Vermont, Anita and Dominic Cioffi of Meriden and Norma Barillaro of Meriden; a son and his wife, Fred and Betty Richardson of Meriden; two brothers, Gordon Campbell of Wallingford and Gerald Campbell of Meriden; fourteen grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Elizabeth White and a son, Arthur Richardson. She was very devoted to her family. Funeral service Saturday, March 25, at 9:30 a.m. at the Beecher and Bennett Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden. The Rev. Dr. Robert Prescott-Ezickson will officiate. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
