Walter Alonzo Hald

In Madison, January 11, 2004, Walter Alonzo Hald of 155 New Rd. He was born in New Haven, January 10, 1910, a son of the late Frank X. and Josephine Merritt Hald. A veteran of the U.S. Army Quartermaster Corp. he served in the African - Middle Eastern area during WW II. Mr. Hald was the President of the Frank X. Hald Moving and Storage Co. and a partner in the Hald Realty Co. He was a life long member of St. Boniface Church. Mr. Hald is survived by a niece, Lauren Hald Chase McLaughlin of Port Richey, Fl. and a Grand nephew, William H. Millard of Boca Raton, Fl. He was predeceased by a brother, Lorenz A. Hald and a sister, Pauline Merritt Hald. Funeral from BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 WHITNEY AVE., HAMDEN, Thursday, January 15th at 9:30 A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebated in St. Boniface Church, New Haven at 10 A.M. Friends may visit at the funeral home, Thursday from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM. Burial will be in Beaverdale Memorial Park.
