CHESHIRE - Walter Andrew Robak, 86, of 1301 Cheshire Street, died Monday, July 14, 2008 at Highland Health Care Center. He was the husband of Katherine Parker Robak. Born in Meriden on Sept. 5, l921, he was the son of the late Walter B. and Mary Sujdak Robak. He lived in Meriden until 1948 when he moved to Cheshire. He was employed as a machinist at Wallingford Steel for 20 years, retiring in 1989. He had also worked at Pratt & Whitney, Waterbury Farrell and other machine shops in the area. Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Ellen Robak of Cheshire; two sons, Peter Robak of Cheshire and Stephen Robak of Cromwell; two grandchildren, Andrew Robak and Kathleen Robak, both of Cromwell; and a brother, Thaddeus Robakiewicz. He was predeceased by a brother, Edward Robakiewicz. The funeral will be held Wednesday, July 16, at 10 a.m., directly at St. Stanislaus Church, Meriden. Burial wirh military honors will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Beecher and Bennett Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden. Ct.
