Walter J. Bischoff

WEST HAVEN - Walter J. Bischoff, 76, of 19 B. Ivy Circle, died Monday, August 7, 2006 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. Born in Philadelphia, PA on Dec. 24, 1929, he was the son of the late Mr. & Mrs. Albert Bischoff. He was employed for thirty years at Winchester Olin, U.S. Repeating Arms Company in New Haven. He is survived by a daughter, Nancy Bischoff of Meriden; three sons, Walter Bischoff, Jr. of Long View, WA, Joseph Bischoff of Deland, FL and Ronald Bischoff and four grandchildren, Brittany Bischoff and Trevor Bischoff, both of Long View, WA and Cassondra Nieves and Joshua Bischoff, both of Meriden. He was predeceased by a daughter, Linda Pella and two brothers, Albert Bischoff, Jr. and John Bischoff. The funeral will be held Friday, August 11, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Church in Meriden where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated by Rev. Shawn Daly. Burial will be in St. Laurent Cemetery in Meriden. Relatives and friends may call from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the Beecher and Bennett Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden.
