MONROE - Wesley Graham Smith, 84, of 19 Osborne Lane died Tuesday, October 17, 2006 at Bridgeport Hospital. He was the husband of Rosamond Clarke Smith. He was born in Springfield, MA on October 14, 1922, a son of the late Ernest and Ethel Smith and was employed as welder/fabricator at Coulter & McKenzie in Bridgeport. He worshipped at the Christadelphian Church in Yalesville, CT and enjoyed woodworking and boat building, along with hunting and fishing. Besides his wife of 52 years, he is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Allison and Robert Stormont of Brooklyn, CT and Robbin and Larry Goodhue of Canada; a son and his wife, Clay Smith and Faye Griffiths-Smith of Hamden; two sisters, Eleanor Clark of Sylmar, CA and Althea Decker of Huntington, CT; eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Oct. 28th at 11:00 a.m. at the Beecher and Bennett Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Avenue, Meriden, CT. Donations in Wesley's memory may be made to Hospice at Home, VNA of CT, 40 Lindeman Drive, Trumbull, CT 06611.
