William 'Billy' Kenneth King, Jr., 59, of Hamden passed away on Friday, June 28, 2013. Billy was born in New Haven on February 21,1954 a son of William 'Bill' and Virginia Guerra King, Sr. of Hamden. Beside his parents, Billy is survived by his daughters, Gillian Bernier and her husband Stephen of Haddam and Meghan King of Haddam; granddaughter Veronica Bernier; brother, Bob King of Hamden; wife, Claudia Golden King of Branford and other family and friends. After graduating from Notre Dame High School he went on to study at Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. Billy had been the business owner of King Carpet Cleaning Company in Newton, MA for over 20 years. He also worked as an insurance restoration specialist and mold remediation expert for Servpro in North Haven and for A&A Restoration in Wallingford. Billy enjoyed a good camping trip, fishing with friends and spending time with his family. He also had a passion for cooking his special dishes for his family to enjoy. Family and Friends are invited to Celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, July 5th at 10:00 a.m. in Ascension Church, 1050 Dunbar Hill Rd, Hamden. Burial will be private. BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave, Hamden in care of arrangements.
