William Edward Redfield
In New Haven May 19,2001, William Edward Redfield, 54, of 690 Jones Hill Road, West Haven, CT. Son of the late Harold E. and Edna G. Redfield of Bradenton, FL, formerly of West Haven, Loving brother of Linda Redfield Bakke and her husband William Bakke of Midland, MI. He attended West Haven Schools and graduated from Norwalk State Technical Institute. He worked in several fields over the years including banking, computer sales,Yacht sales and most recently was the Internet Sales Manager for Bob Thomas Ford, Hamden. Bill loved boating and the outdoors. He was a Yacht Broker and sea captain in both Florida and California and enjoyed many trips sailing around different parts of the world. He has owned several boats and most recently enjoyed boating with his family at his cabin on Upper Saranac Lake, NY. Bill was the beloved father of Dawn Corry Redfield and devoted grandfather of Kyle Redfield of Norwalk. He was a loving friend to people all over the country and will be missed by many. He loved life to the fullist and always wore a smile. In addition, Bill is survived by two step children, Amy Quinlan of Burlington, VT and John Bernhardt of Clearwater, FL. Nephew of Mildred Hewett of West Haven, Tom Hoey of Jacksonville , FL, Frank and Nina Wagner of West Haven. Also survived by five nephews and one niece,their children, several cousins and their families. A Memorial service will be held at BEECHER & BENNETT TAYLOR Funeral Home, 410 Campbell Ave., at Court St., West Haven, Wed., May 23 at 7:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Masonic Charity Foundation, P.O. Box 70, Wallingford, CT 06492.
