Winifred E. Miller, 90, beloved wife of 60 years to the late Edward P. Miller, Jr. passed away April 6, 2022 after a brief illness. Mother of Diane E. (Harvey) Burgess of Fairbanks, Alaska, and Edward P. (Sandra) Miller, III of Northford. Sister of Frank (Betsy) Fowler of Guilford, Ethel Nann of Northford, Muriel (Bud) Tiedemann of Wallingford, and Jean Carlson of Woodstock. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister, Betty Kircher.
Winifred was born in Waterbury on November 5, 1931, a daughter of the late Frederick J. and Edith Parke Fowler, and was a longtime resident of Wallingford. She was a member of the Wallingford Senior Center, was an active blood donor, and she very much enjoyed the summer cottage at Leete’s Island. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Friends are invited to visit with her family on Monday, April 11th from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden. A prayer service will begin at 1 p.m. Interment will be private. Contributions in her memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital at www.stjude.org.

My Dad passed in 2013, Mom passed 2019 it is a sad time because you can not pick up the phone and call them to answer a question you might have or to just tell them you love them.
